Annual General Meeting

The AGM for the British Disc Golf Association took place at the Scottish Open on the Isle of Mull in May. A number of positions on the BDGA Board of Directors had to be filled, as a number of members had been forced to step down. All the positions were put to the vote of the players who attended the meeting.

The updated elected Board of Directors:

National Director………………Derek Robins
Secretary………………………Jonnie Burden
Treasurer (temp)……….............Sean Young
Communications Director…........Richard Sampson

Officers

Regional Co-ordinators:
North & Scotland ………. .........Liam Young
South…………………………..Paul Knutton
Midlands ……………………....Derek Robins
Competitions Director………….Andy Lucey

BDGA Seeks Treasurer

Sean Young has volunteered to take the post of Treasurer on a temporary basis. The BDGA is still urgently looking for someone to take over this post. The position doesn't require a lot of your time, however it is a critical role within the organisation. If you are interested in taking over the role, please contact the BDGA Secretary Jonnie Burden.

BDGA Handbook

The new BDGA Handbook is well overdue. The communications director for the BDGA, Richard Sampson, has the task of putting together the publication. The new edition will largely be an updated version of the previous handbook. To start the ball rolling, could existing course contacts check the information in the last handbook and send any amendments through to Richard. Likewise if there are new courses in the UK that need to be included in the latest handbook, could a representative for the course get in touch. Finally, if anyone has any friends who just happen to run a printing company, and who may offer 'mates rates', please let Richard know. Many thanks Contact Richard Sampson 0958 587 670 rich@discgolf.co.uk

Disc Golf Egroup

If you want to communicate with other disc golfers around the country you may want to join the disc golf egroup. It is free to join, and very simple to set up. To subscribe go to www.discgolf.co.uk

The BDGA Needs YOU!

The board of directors welcomes new ideas and suggestions from anyone and everyone. Get in touch if you've got something to say. New courses are obviously great for the development of the sport. If you see an opportunity to introduce the sport, perhaps in your local area, the BDGA will be able to offer advice.
